In the book The Titan’s curse the major conflict was when Percy Jackson decided to follow The Hunters, and Clarisse into the journey that the oracle predicted that would be too dangerous. The oracle predicted that one person would be lost in the place with no water. After The Hunters started their journey a Pegasus, that Percy had saved a long time ago, offered to take him after them. Percy accepted. The Hunters left in a van.
Percy started following them right after they parted and everyone was a sleep. As they where leaving town, Percy encountered Mr. D, Dionysus, The god of wine. He had been assigned to manage Camp Half Blood for 100 years as a punishment. He grabbed Percy’s Pegasus by the leg with grape roots, and told him that he wouldn’t stop him, but warned him that he was letting him proceed because it was a dangerous journey; there was a chance that he wouldn’t return.
Percy surprised continued following the van. The van stopped in a convention center Percy followed them carefully, with Anabeth’s invisibility cap on. (Anabeth has been missing since the beginning). The Hunters felt someone was following them and turned around Percy in a reflex entered a convention. As he entered he noticed something interesting. It was Luke, and the general.
They sent an army of mini soldiers to kill the Hunters and Percy. The Hunters thought someone was following them so they entered a museum. Percy ran out of the convention center to warn the hunters he entered the museum and looked for them. When he found them he warned them. He told them they needed to leave, but the soldiers came and attacked them they were able to beat these but they were only 2 out of 5.
