Tuesday with Morrie (24-51):
These pages of the book talk about how Mitch and Morrie had their first conversation. It was at a classroom where Mitch had to tell Morrie how he liked others to call him. Since that day they have been close friends. A few years later Mitch heard the news that Morrie was sick and dying so he didn’t hesitate twice and went to visit him. When Mitch arrived to Morries place he couldn’t get of his car because he was so surprised of seeing Morrie changed thanks to the disease but thanks God Mitch got of his nerves and went to visit his old professor that gives him life lessons. Morrie becomes in a life inspiration for Mitch because of his unique way of seeing life.
Opinion: I honestly believe that when a sick person is surrounded by people they love miracles could happen. Morrie is surrounded by people he loves and they love them back. When the doctors told my family that my grandma only had fourth months I thought of all the things I didn’t do with her and now I regret it so bad, but I also know that I went to visit her all the days since I knew about her illness . I saw so many people with her and I thank god she lives for more than a year. Morrie is kind of in the same situation, he says that the best moments in life are the ones you spend with your love once, I totally agree with. I also agree that we live in a world that has been in a constant rush and doesn’t live how we are supposed to. We do stuff no because we like, but because we want to like others. What nonsense is that? I believe that if you really want to do something you should accomplish that dream, so turn your dreams into plans.
