Death without suffering physically
“I am a very spiritual person, it was very important to me to be conscious, clear-minded and alert at the time of my death. The powerful pain medications were making it difficult to maintain the state of mind I wanted to have at my death. I am grateful that the Death with Dignity law provides me the choice of a death that fits my own personal beliefs."(Ms.Fleming) These are the words of Linda Fleming s hours before taking drugs prescribed under the "Death with Dignity" law. On May 22 2009, a woman Linda Fleming, 66 of Sequim, Washington, with pancreatic cancer has become the first person to die under a doctor assisted suicide in Washington. I supports euthanasia because is the best option of preserving dignity in the terminally illness, irreversible coma, some patient cannot communicate, not everybody will have an easy death. Even with the best of care and the strongest of drugs, the pain and suffering is always there. I believe a person should have the choice with this law. Most religious beliefs say that “God is the only one that has the right to decide the termination of any life”. From the religious discipline, euthanasia is wrong. Death and life are not in our control and therefore it is in God's hands to decide when our time on earth has ended.
