Mass ,density and volume

Class discussion

In class we saw that when we put the marble into the container with water, the marble was going to the bottom of the container, then we put the ping pong ball and this float, then we put the tennis ball, inflatable ball and a balloon and the same thing happened with the ping pong and eventually got a very hard ball and it went down.

After the teacher, he showed us a test tube with water until the number 20 and when we put the marble in the water, the water ascended to number 22.

Conclusion

Mass is the amount of matter in a body .It is measured in kilograms and grams .

Density in some way measures how concentrated the mass is for example ,lead has a higher density than wood .this means that if we were to take two balls of the same size , one of wood and the other lead ,the lead ball would have a higher mass.

The volume liquids or solids can be measured using measured cylinders.
