Enterprise Resource Planning are management information systems that integrate and handle many business operations associated with production and distribution aspects of a company in the production of goods or services.
Enterprise Resource Planning is a term derived from manufacturing resource planning (MRPII) and followed material requirements planning (MRP), but have evolved into ERP subscription models by the use of the service.
ERP systems typically handle the manufacturing, logistics, distribution, inventory, shipping, billing and accounting of the company in a modular way. However, Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP software can intervene in the control of many business activities such as sales, deliveries, payments, production, inventory management, quality management and human resource management.
ERP systems are occasionally called back office and indicating that the client and the general public are not directly involved. This system is, in contrast to the open data system (front office), which creates an administrative relationship of the consumer or customer service (CRM), a system that deals directly with customers, or the eBusiness systems such as e-commerce, e-government and e-finance electronic telecommunications; also is a system that deals directly with suppliers, establishing not only administrative relationship with them (SRM).
The ERP worked extensively in enterprises. Among the most common modules are the manufacturing or production, storage, logistics and information technology, also include accounting, and usually include a system of human resource management and marketing tools and strategic management.
