1.0 Description
1.1 Introduction
The information in this Test Set manual consists of descriptions and specifications, installation specifics, an overview of the controls, indicators and connectors, and maintenance and drawing sections for the TS-AAD Test Set.
1.2 Purpose of Equipment
The TS-AAD is a test panel designed to simulate aircraft audio input and output loads, and is used for testing various NAT audio controllers and equipment.
The test panel allows connection of external equipment to generate and monitor audio signals required for testing.
1.3 Features
The TS-AAD provides +28 Vdc for main power, alert power and +28 Vdc lighting. An internal regulator supplies +5 Vdc lighting power.
The test panel has six separate headset jacks, each with a switch-selectable option of 150 Ω, 600 Ω or no load at the output.
The mic and phone section of the headset jacks are electrically isolated from the power ground.
An ICS TIE jack with a switch-selectable internal 2 kΩ load, and right user and left user Transmit and ICS keylines are also provided.
The TS-AAD faceplate is anodized to ensure long lasting legibility.
