Introduction

Humans with the Industrial Revolution really started to change the face of the planet, the nature of its atmosphere and the quality of your water. Today, the unprecedented demand for the rapid growth of the human population, and technological development subject to the environment, is producing an ever-accelerating decline in its quality and its ability to sustain life.

Long industrial and technological needs have been met without attention to potential damage to the environment. It now appears that at least these damages are known; just need to put the means in our power to avoid them. Human activities, from obtaining a raw material to the disposal of waste generated after obtaining a technological product, can have dire consequences for the conservation of the environment. Examples include desertification, the environmental impact of the technology works, pollution in the collection and treatment of many raw materials or energy sources and waste generated in many industrial activities.

Technology and the environment are two very different concepts but to join meet all our needs but wing time destroy our environment.

It is a situation of factors threatening human welfare and ecosystem integrity, and is perceived as such by the company or a part of it.

This great problem is not easy to see for many people, because it is produced by adding all the little actions of each member of humanity, actions that at first glance seem right that we do not observe them immediate effects, but all these numerous actions already added over time cause serious and extensive damage to the global environment.

Science and technology can be used to help conserve the environment. Some examples:

ADVANTAGES

1) Campaigns through social networks or via online services.

2) Recycling of specific materials or the use of alternative energy sources.

3) Prediction and extinguishing forest fires is conducted by artificial satellites.

4) Modern methods of detection allow to notice the presence of fire occur shortly after.

5) Renewable energy sources, like solar, wind and geothermal are not exhausted and generally pollute less than nonrenewable sources such as coal or oil.

DISADVANTAGES

1) Direct environmental impact. The public works and mining modify the ecosystem they inhabit many animal and plant species.

2) Pollution. It is perhaps the most noticeable effect. The increase in energy consumption has greatly increase the proportions of certain gases (carbon dioxide, sulfur oxides, etc.) in the atmosphere, especially near industrialized areas. Some consequences of air pollution are the global warming due to greenhouse effect or decrease in the thickness of the ozone layer.

3) Generation of waste. Certain technological activities generate highly polluting residues that are difficult to delete, such as some plastics
