It is the largest island and the sixth largest nation with a warm, dry weather.
It is the largest island and the sixth largest nation with a warm and dry climate. Its capital is Canberra. And the largest cities are: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
Languages:
Although Australia has no official language, is a monolingual country with English as the national language but has its own accent and vocabulary. The second most common language is Chinese, followed by the Italian and Greek. Australia also has an own language called Auslan signs that it is the primary communication tool for the deaf.
Religion:
Australia remains a predominantly Christian country, but has no official state religion and a good portion of the population professes no religion.
63% of Australians identified as Christians. Belonging either to Catholicism or the Anglican Church and a third group would be those associated with the Uniting Church in Australia. The other mainstream faiths are also practiced in Australia, as it is further evidence of cultural diversity
