LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD

I will use the tale “Little Red Riding Hood” for children to learn about English culture, to develop reading comprehension and to enjoy (TAVI)

ACTIVITY 1: A vehicle for information.

A DESCRIPTION OF THE TARGET GROUP: This activity is for students of second of Primary Education. They are seven years old.

In the classroom there are twenty one Spanish students. Their native language is Spanish.

There aren´t any children with special needs.

LENGTH OF TIME FOR THE ACTIVITY: Twenty minutes.

TEACHING/LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

 Active listening tale “Little Red Riding Hood”

 Know the structure of the tale.

MATERIALS USED:

 Digital and printed tale “Little Red Riding Hood”

 Whiteboard

CLASSROOM ARRANGEMENT: The children are distributed in the classroom in a circle. In it, the teacher is the focus of attention.

LESSONS PROCEDURE: Reading tale

The teacher tells the tale through the whiteboard. The tale will contain images and text. Students will relate the oral language to written language naturally. So the kids assimilate tale structure.

 Learn vocabulary related to the tale.

MATERIALS USED:

 Flashcards tale.

 Whiteboard.

LESSONS PROCEDURE: Flash Cards

Al first, we must work through flash cards characters appearing in the story: LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD, WOLF, GRANDMA, MUMMY and WOODCUT.

Later, we will give a mini story and character cards. Students should color and paste them into the mini story in order of appearance.

ACTIVITY 3: A stimulus for production.
