CONVERSACIÓN DE VARIOS TEMAS EN INGLÉS         

• Duván: HI, guys, How are you?
• Leidys: I’m fine
• Cristian: I’m very well and you?
• Duván: I’m pretty well. Guys What did you do on your last vacation?
• Cristian: My vacation was very great. I was in Cartagena with Leidy.
• Leidys: Yeah, that trip was nice. We got to know many tourist places.  Don't you remember that we invited you?
• Duván: Oh, right, I had forgotten. I remember that day I missed my flight because I got stuck in traffic.It Was very frustrating.
• Cristian: That’s so bad, we would have loved you to attend the trip.
• Leydis: When we were downtown we went to the serrezuela and looked at all the souvenirs to buy you one.
• Duván: That sounds great, I’m sorry I couldn't travel, but  when I arrived at the airport I took my luggage and I got back home by bus because the flight had taken off.
• Cristian:That's why I told you to hurry, but you got up late.
• Leidys: Next time, sleep early so you don't miss out on the fun.

Queridos señores, Thompson.

Nuestros nombres son John, Emy y Tom, somos estudiantes de intercambio en la universidad de Oxford y provenimos de Colombia, Tokyo y USA. Nos encontramos agradecidos por alojarnos en su casa mientras finalizamos nuestros estudios en Inglaterra.

Nuestras edades son 24, 23 y 24, nosotros estamos estudiando Español y Humanidades, Biología y Medicina. Aunque tenemos diferentes inclinaciones académicas nos hemos hecho buenos compañeros de dormitorio. Por ejemplo Jhon  proviene de una familia pequeña y es soltero; Amy vive en Australia y Tom vive en una familia pequeña y está casado.

Cada uno tiene intereses diferente, por eso en nuestro tiempo libre a John le gusta ver series de ciencia ficción y películas de aventuras porque él considera que ver series o películas acompañado  es mucho mejor que salir a una fiesta, además, le gustan las cosas electrónicas y la poesía de Borges, después esta Amy a quien le  gusta acampar con su hermana y en la noche no puede faltar un buen cuento de terror, cuando es verano a ella le gusta surfear con sus amigos es muy buena haciendo lo y se ha ganado varios campeonatos y por último cuando Tom tiene tiempo ayuda a los más necesitados como todo buen doctor, además es muy fanatico de los autos y le gusta jugar ajedrez con los ancianos.

Mientras estudiamos nuestras carreras nos gustaría conocer más de la cultura inglesa, tales como la gastronomía, los sitios turísticos, etcétera. Al terminar nuestras  carreras universitarias esperamos trabajar en este hermoso país.  

Muchísimas gracias por alojarnos en su casa, estamos muy emocionados por conocerlo a usted y a su familia.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Thompson.

Our names are John, Emy and Tom, we are exchange students at Oxford University and we come from Colombia, Tokyo and the USA. We are grateful to stay in your home while we finish our studies in England.

Our ages are 24, 23 and 24, we are studying Spanish and Humanities, Biology and Medicine. Although we have different academic learning we have made good roommates. For example John comes from a small family and is single; Amy lives in Australia and Tom lives in a small family and is married.

We each have different interests, so in our free time John likes to watch sci-fi series and adventure movies because he considers that watching series or movies with company is much better than going out to a party, besides, he likes electronic stuff and Borges' poetry, Then, there is Amy who likes camping with her sister and at night she can't miss a good horror story, when it's summer she likes surfing with her friends she is very good at it and has won several championships and finally when Tom has time he helps the people most in need, like the good doctor he is, he is also very fanatic about cars and likes to play chess with the elderly.

While studying our careers we would like to learn more about the English culture, such as gastronomy, tourist sites, etcetera. At the end of our university careers we hope to work in this beautiful country.

CONVERSACIÓN DE ROPA Y SUPERLATIVOS

Duván: Voy a llamar a estos chicos a ver si ya están listos y nos vamos de viaje y de compra. (Pensando )

Suena videollamada. (10 segundos)

Leydis: Hola, Duván y cristian, ¿cómo están?

Cristian: Hola chicos , yo estoy muy bien, gracias a Dios.
Duván: Estoy muy emocionado por nuestra salida.

Leydis: Por supuesto, recuerden llevar poca ropa porque en Bogotá vamos a comprar lo que necesitemos.

Cristian: Pero recuerda llevar ropa para clima frío porque Bogotá es más fría que Barranquilla y Cartagena.

Duván: Sí, tienes razón, porque yo usualmente tengo ropa para clima caliente, porque siempre viajo a lugares con ese tipo de clima.

Leydis: Cierto, yo también tengo ese tipo de ropa. Bueno chicos nos vemos en el aeropuerto, chao.

Cristian: Sí, hablamos en un rato, porque nuestro vuelo sale en una hora.

Duván: Listo nos vemos en un rato.

(Pasaron 3 horas y el avión aterrizó en Bogotá)

Cristian: Uy, qué frío está haciendo, estoy un poco congestionado esperenme un momento creo haber visto una farmacia por aquí cerca, así que voy y compro una pastilla.

Leydis: Ah, bueno, mientras nosotros estaremos buscando el lugar más barato para comer en la ciudad.
