Introduction:
Presentations can be classified as vocational or avocational, expository or persuasive, and can also be impromptu, extemporaneous, written or memorized.

Three basic purpose for giving oral presentations:
-To inform
-To persuade
-To build goodwill
Types of presentation
- Informative
- Motivation
- Interviews
- Persuasive
- Good will
- Multipurpose
- Sales
- Training
- Entertainment
- Political
- Image building
Informative presentations can be divided in 2 distinct categories:
- The reporting presentations bring the audience up to date on projects or events
- The explanatory presentation provides information about operations. etc.
On using informative presentation, you must keep it brief and to the point.
-Time: explain when
-Place: explain where
-Cause and effect: how of the things
-Logical order: list items in order of importance
Persuasive presentation
We can call these presentations transitions; they seek to motivate people and lead them to a specific action or to make a decision. You seek to convince to accept a certain proposal through loci, evidence and emotion.
-An impressive introduction, you need your audience’s attention and you can get it by presenting them with a need that you can satisfy.
-Tease the audience by describing all the advantages you have to offer
-They must be willing to agree
-Closing with a call to action
-Ask for an order, lead them to where you want them to be.
Good will presentation
Often designed to be entertain, make people feel better or improve the reputation of a company. They can be ceremonial, such as award presentation, the unveiling of memorial plaques, and so on. These events may include a presentation, in a form of speech most often, slides show or multimedia and they can be after-dinner speeches.
