“STONE PAPER”
Analyzing the problems we are experiencing today with pollution environment, we decided to create a replacement for materials created with paper.
Creating a 3 times more durable material than paper, because we know that the felling of trees for the creation of such material is an issue of great importance.
This material is called "stone paper" or "mineral paper", is a paper-like compound 75-80% calcium carbonate and 15-20% polyethylene product. Calcium carbonate is the most abundant substance in nature. Marble and limestone are the most normal and known representation.
These elements are ground into a fine powder. a resin or binder which is comprised of polyethylene is added.
In its manufacture no water, trees or chlorine are used as their virgin color is white.
This paper can be recycled infinitely photodegradation (period of 14 to 18 months of sun exposure) but not by biodegradation.
The stone paper is a paper that has no fiber so it has a naturally soft texture. It is 100% resistant to water and oil and more tear resistant than paper pulp.
For 20% polyethylene that composes this paper is sensitive to heat (beyond 100 ° C) so it does not withstand laser printing. But it is compatible with offset printing and digital printing with low temperature.
Its application is varied:
Shopping bags, posters, adhesive labels and labels of wines and champagnes.
Books, books, maps, magazines, catalogs
cosmetics packaging and packaging for soaps
Products for children
tablecloths
Wall paper
Making possible the idea of replacement of conventional paper we know.
