The verb to be

Affirmative, singular interrogative negative

First person I am (i`m) am i? I am not (i`m not)

Second person you are(you`re) are you? You are not ( you aren`t)

Third person he is ( he`s) is he? He is not (he isn`t)

Third person she is (she`s) is she? She is not (she isn`t)

Third person it is (it`s) is it? It is not(it isn`t)

Plural plural plural

First person we are(we`re) are we? We are not(we`aren’t)

Second person you are(you`re) are you? You are not(you aren`t)

Third person they are(they`re) are they? They are not(they aren`t)

Simple present

Affirmative form : subject + verb in simple form + complement +t.e (time expression)

Negative form: subject + don`t ,doesn`t + verb in simple form + complement + t.e(time expression)

Question form: do,does + subject + verb in simple form +complement+?

Simple past

Affirmative form: subject + verb in simple past + complement + t.e (time expression)

Negative form: subject + verb in simple form + complement + t.e (time expression)

Question form: did + subject + verb in simple form + complement + t.e (time expression)

Many past tense verbs are formed by adding –ed to the end of the verb

If a verb ends in e, just add d (liked,hoped)

If a verb ends in y , delete y and add ied (studied, carried) but don’t do this if the verb ends in a vowel + y (played, not plaied , stayed, not staied)

Simple future

Affirmative form: subject + aux(will) + simple form verb + complement + time expression

Negative form: subject + aux(wont ,will not) +simple form verb + complement + time expression

Question form: aux(will) + subject + simple form verb + complement + time expression
