Scholarship Committee:
For the longest time, I displayed an interest in sports. It has always been a matter of how I would be able to succeed in my goal that would put the complete cherry on top. To obtain a scholarship outside my country, of such quantity would open up so many doors for me that it would not be difficult in the slightest to find a way to pay my way through college. There are several reasons why I would be an ideal candidate for this scholarship opportunity, so let me delve into the many aspects that will show why I deserve this opportunity to aid me in completion of my present and future goals.
I have displayed qualities such as responsibility and perseverance that consume my personality. I have adapted myself to these qualities to allow me to keep working at my goal without giving up. I never give up.
I believe I deserve to be selected, because as a hard working student I commit myself to effectively take advantage of the opportunity that the scholarships will provide me. Besides, I am a student that does not only persistently works hard academically, but also I constantly try to improve in soccer, winning and working in team, achieving goals, and putting the University’s name higher.
In my opinion, education is the key to success, and I try to connect my passion for soccer and education together in order to be a student of excellence.
I am a well-prepared student thanks to my academic background, along these years I’ve developed very good leadership skills as I have played different sport and in different teams.
However, if I had a scholarship to appease my needs, I would definitely be able to focus on my education and in playing soccer even more than I already do. The one thing that would be on my mind would be learning, which in the end is the most important thing.
My family has made many sacrifices to allow me to focus on education throughout primary and secondary school. I now have an opportunity to become the first person in my family to attend college in other country, if I’m chosen I will be achieving what has been a long-term goal for me and a dream for my parents.
