THE INCIDENCE OF THE CODE OF ETHICS AT PROJECT MANAGEMENT.

One of the purposes of this essay is to let know the reader the importance to have in your life as a person, the values and codes of ethics; and how those codes of good behavior can make you take good desition at workplace or your personal life; I personally recommend to read the “Code of ethics and professional conduct” of the Project Management Institute, which is a document where clarifies the important aspects that all PMI Members must have, and all others whom are interested of apply for the PMP Certification process.

When I finished Reading the document, I observed that values as Responsibility, respect, Honesty, fairness, are the same pillars that I was instructed at my home and my military career. There is at the Colombian naval academy “Almirante Padilla” a monument with the Slogan “Honor, Loyalty and Honesty” (Padilla) that resumes what a Naval Officer must be, and this is exactly what they taught us un a 4-year process to become an officer. But the value that I feel more identify with, is the value of Honesty, which I define with one simple phrase “the philosophy of the truth”. act with the Honesty and always say the truth. Will let you progress in your life and your career with no issues; I am as a Naval Officer a leader but also a manager, with lots of duties and responsibility of accomplish the main mission that I was ordered, and I could easily to perform in a private sector as a Project manager because we share the same principles.
