The day of the Dead is a mexican tradition that honors people who have died. It is celebrated at the end of october and beginning of November. This festival is also celebrated in many communities in the United States, because many mexicans live there. It is also celebrated in some latin american countries.

Indigenous people in Mesoamerica such as Aztecs, Mayas, Nahuas, Totonacas and Purepechas _________this tradition. During the pre-Hispanic times people _________skulls as trophies.
