NEGATIVE INFLUENCE OF CONTRACEPTIVES IN TEENAGERS
Nowadays we can find a wide variety of birth control mechanisms in the market, these mechanisms are also known as contraceptives that control and block pregnancy from happening. Birth control methods have been used since ancient times, but effective and safe methods only became available in the 20th century. Some people use contraceptives with the deceptive argument of family planning or to prevent themselves from being infected with any kind of sexually transmitted diseases. Among these mechanisms, we can find the use of barrier devices such as male or female condoms, diaphragms, contraceptive sponge, intrauterine devices (IUDs), hormonal contraception such as oral pills, patches, injectable contraceptives, there are also emergency contraception that can prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex. All these methods are sometimes wrongly recommended by health care professionals and others in their fight to reduce teenage pregnancy. They say that teenagers need comprehensive sex education and have access to reproductive health services, including contraception. All this has misled very young people to start having sex at an early age, some of them even start during their last years of their childhood thinking that it is better to use contraception to prevent being infected from sexually transmitted diseases or ending up in an unwanted pregnancy. Very few are those who really know the high risk, and regard the awful side effects and consequences that most of those contraceptives will have them suffer. The non-prescribed use of contraceptives in teenagers has mislead them to go against God’s plan, to suffer negative side effects that affect the normal health state of their bodies and to also suffer other consequences that influence them to alter their normal mood and libido.
God has prepared a perfect plan o happiness for all who live on this earth The birth of children in loving families is pivotal to His plan. The first commandment He gave to Adam and Eve was to “be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth” (Genesis 1:28). All people who are physically able, have the blessing, joy, and obligation to bear children and to raise a family. This blessing should not be postponed just for selfish reasons. Having sexual relations within marriage are not only for the purpose of procreation, but also a means of expressing love and strengthening emotional and spiritual ties between husband and wife. Husband and wife are encouraged to pray and counsel together as they plan their families. Sometimes there are some difficult issues to consider before taking the decision of bringing children to this world, it includes the physical and mental health of the mother and father and their capacity to provide the basic necessities of life for their children. Decisions about birth control and the consequences of those decisions rest solely with each married couple.
Postponing children just for selfish reasons such as non commitment to raise children is contrary to the commandments of God. Being able to have children is one of the greatest blessings in life, and their birth into loving and nurturing families is essential to God’s purposes for humanity. When husband and wife are physically able, they have the privilege and responsibility to bring children into the world and to nurture them. In this way they are helping fulfill God’s plan of creation. This is a sacred power of creation that he has conferred us. The decision of how many children to have and when to have them is a private matter for the husband and wife. However, part of our creator God’s plan is to be born to a family so that we can receive a mortal body and be physically and spiritually reared by loving mortal earthly parents.
Immoral behavior is when people know what God has forbidden us to do but we belligerently disobey anyways. Single people should practice sexual abstinence as birth control method, nevertheless, the appearance of contraceptives seem to be so inviting to practice illegal sex because some contraceptive devices offer a high percentage of guarantee no to catch sexual transmitted diseases, they also offer protection from undesired pregnancies. Most young people tend to choose this option since they feel it is safe and besides this, they feel their minds are at ease during a sexual intercourse. This easiness to practice a so called safe sex tends to help develop the practice of reliable sex with confidence no to have any undesired pregnancy, so there is also a very high risk for especially young men to become promiscuous
