DRUGS AND ORGANIZED CRIME

Drugs are chemicals that change the way a person's body works. There´s a lot of different drugs. Example: Heroin, Cocaine,Crack, Lsd, Ecstacy,Marijuana, etc

Most of them has originally invented with the purpose of helping to cure an illness, but people have used drugs for other purposes and this has created a big problem in society.

Organized Crime threatens peace and human security, violates human rights and affecs economic, social, cultural, political and civil development of every country around the world.

Organized Crime means crime which is an organized nature and which seeks to supply illegal goods and services such as narcotics, prostitution, loan sharking, gambling, and pornography.

Here in Mexico we suffer here in mexico we suffer a lot of drug trafficking, its a big problem which affects everyone that lives in Mexico and also in other countries.

There´s many different “carteles” in mexico such as :Los Zetas, La Familia Michoacana, the Gulf cartel etc..

This has become a huge problem because big part of the population around us, doesnt have a lot of resources so that leads them to go for the “easy way” which involves the use of drugs, and other mafia related works.

One of the causes for using drugs is the lack of money. The business of drugs involves a lot of money for the people that are looking for better profits, the major buyers and dealers are teenagers, because most of them want to scape from problems they dont want to face and they stop getting interested for their education, so there´s a lot of ignorance and they cant succed or they cant get a good job, most of them take wrong decisions such as getting pregnant at a short age, abortion, suicide and more.

Most parents don´t have the resources to send their kids to school, so mos of them dont recieve education so that causes that they can´t know the difference between whats right and whats wrong.

Here in Mexico there is high unemployment, in August of this year the unemployment for people between 15 to 24 years had increased to 9.4% from 8.8%in the last month.

This leads many people begin to accept jobs not worthy just to earn money to support their families and this causes a lot of effects on the population such as violence, because a lot of people who has tried drugs, they can not leave them and if they don’t have enough money to buy more they would do everything to get money so they start to steal or worse kidnap people.

Society has turned insecure and that affects everything as tourism because many people stop visiting places because of fear that something might happen to them.
