Public Transportation in Mexico City

Mexico City is one of the most important cities in the world, is the cultural center of a country, and the meeting place of the three branches of the Mexican government, therefore as important as this location can not leave behind Disabled facilities, specifically collective, created to meet growing demand, proportional to the inevitable increase in population in cities of this magnitude and importance.

In this paper we argue the importance of having a good system of this type, and we will report some of the flaws of this, and the reasons why governments have been unable to solve, which although imperfect remains a vital element in the management of the City. It is this importance in everyday life which is required for rapid and efficient system improvement. By taking advantage of the published results of multiple surveys necessary denote an improvement in the transportation system of our city.

Mexico City throughout the years has developed diverse and complex needs for public transport, keeping this requires consideration of several criteria of environmental, infrastructure and urban character. That's why the solutions to the problems of any transportation system are much more complex and difficult to carry out than you think. Despite this there has been a constant effort on the part of elected governments of the City of Mexico to repair. An inefficient effort that has resulted in the minimum variation of how the transportation system works.

In recent years multiple variables taken in the maintenance of the transportation system have determined the different strategies for the solution of system failure, the aim of the proposals is a simple solution, any small improvement that could conduct in a particular case, and not to promote a comprehensive renovation, improving public transport itself.

Taking this into account, multiple statistics have been collected in order to know which are the common user considered the worst faults that have the means to make the complex system of transportation in the city.

The public transportation system of the City of Mexico has been described in various surveys unfavorably by the interviewers responsible denoted as the "common user", which referred to the system as uncomfortable and unsafe, considering the lack of interest by the authorities to compliance with regulations and standards as the main root of the problem, as well as poor accessibility offered as to the lack of roads and the high cost of tariffs, coupled with this lack of efficient infrastructure is allowing some significant improvement in the criticized fields.

Are these same surveys show a marked preference for mass transport Metro and Metrobus, which according to the survey population have a utility that exceeds its flaws. Otherwise it is shown in the case of other land transport may Metrobus, trucks and "combis" are the means of poorer transportation criticized in the same fields, in these the worst criticized for frequent users is considered as lack of care and cleaning of the units which owe their state of deterioration to the great length of time they have in operation, despite regulations prohibiting it.
