Human Rights Council (HRC) the Kingdom of the Netherlands
Topic A: Cyber-bullying
The Dutch United provinces declared their independence from Spain in 1579; during the 17th century, they became a leading seafaring and commercial power, with settlements and colonies around the world. The country was a founding member of NATO and the EEC, and participated in the introduction of the euro in 1999.
The official language of this country is Dutch and Frisian, the government type is constitutional monarchy but was adopted in 1850, amended many times, most recently in 2002. The legal system civil law is based on the French system; constitution does not permit judicial review of acts of the States General. The chief of state is Queen BEATRIX and the head of government is Prime Minister Mark Rutte. The Dutch economy is the fifth-largest economy in the euro-zone and is noted for its stable industrial relations, moderate unemployment and inflation, a sizable trade surplus, and important role as a European transportation hub.
Cyber-bullying is a calamity that has come to digital media and has been defined as an online version of bullying traditional.
This problem is eradicated demanding greater security to education authorities and government institutions related to children and adolescents, their opinion on the facts and assume their responsibilities. Schools are seen as the first line actors to prevent or tackle the problem together with parents and students.
My country thinks that schools also need to take a more proactive role and develop guidelines specific to the problem rather than relying on traditional bullying policies.
This problem has to do with the corruption because from there is where it beings to generate this problem and if that is not controlled there are problems that involve legally and can create conflicts over the issue.
My delegation approves the action taken by the United Nations.
My delegation supports this position and we have to eradicate this problem under the laws that are enforced by law and be able to rest easy with these networks.
