Almost everybody knows who is Oprah Winfrey ,and all the amazing things she has achieved , but long before she bacame a famous media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist , Oprah had  a really tough life , where she  abondoned by her relatives and sexually abused. Here is her story as a victim of crime.

She was born January 29, 1954 on the family farm in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Her dad was Vermon Winfrey and her mother was  Vernita who had oprah at very Young age so they never got married.Her mother found a job as a maid in Milwaukee so she left oprah with her grandmother. Oprah was a very creative and curious Young girl  and on sundays she used to go to church (wich was very important for  her) accompanied by her grandmother.

There she discovered her passion for spoking in public being constantly asked to recitate. Once she was asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, and she answered without hesitation, "I want to be paid to talk."  Unlike her church ,Oprah was forbidden to talk around adults at home and when she disobeyed by talking or arguing,  her grandmother whipped her nevertheless this didnt stop her to be optimist , happy and well gifted student at school. It was at the age of six when oprah was sent to live with her mother again, in another woman´s  house with Oprah´s cousins,   her mother would never pay attention to her  and was working all day long so she went with his father in Nashville who taugh her (mostly by forcing her )maths along with other things for her to be great and her father didnt want her to be any less than that.After her mother got pregnant again (it was a girl ) she came back only to be ignored again  ,she  wasnt getting any attention specially when her stepbrother was born.To make things worse in Oprah´s childhood at the age of nine she was raped by her 19 year old cousin who abused  her sexually many times then, followed by her mom´s boyfriend  a family friend, and once favorite uncle , all of the told her to never tell a Word , she became terrified and never told anyone and they abused her until she left the house. When she grew older and her mother sent her to a girls home but she couldn´t get in because it was vey full then  her father called so she could go back to Nashville where she was finally well educated , was given rules and tasks , developed great studying habits and started to finally show her gifts and talents and followed her dreams that later took her far in life becoming a really successful women.

Oprah is a great example of success specially when being a victim of crime  nobody has doubts  of that , she was harassed , raped ,abused for years but she never let that hide her devotion for speaking in public and changing minds , ideas , people´s life during  her life and still does amazing things until today.
