Logistics
In my work experience and education I was always closely linked to the operation of
manufacturing companies. For many of these companies, customer satisfaction with cost
optimization is essential to maintain a leadership position in the market. However, behind this
demand there is a whole process of production and distribution that helps maximize the flexibility
of response of each client; you must have previously studied the market level and its variability. It
is partly this variability in the supply chain that generates inefficiencies that result in differential
cost or level of service.
Logistics costs can be grouped into 4 categories: transport, storage, inventory and administration.
Logistics centers need to reduce transport time and costs by minimizing distances, routes, heavy
traffic and wasted space; to reduce losses and avoid the risks, reducing costs. Also use flexible
systems, which can be adapted to any changing needs and anticipate future expansion. Consult all
affected sections, evaluating the alternatives, persuading all concerned about your convenience.
The method that I consider most appropriate to study is as follows: consider the logistical process,
employed means and trading volume and traffic produced, distribution of workplaces, relative
ordering of them in plant centers and merchandise.
In my experience large multinational companies have quickly learned this and acted accordingly,
while smaller still decide to assess the impact of the variability of processes and compare the
improved stability with the associated logistics costs of this reality.
I understand that the implementation of new work brings the hand of investments in technology
and logistics, not all companies have the ability to perform, even though it is clear that the vast
majority of them trend in that direction. This should be a strategic initiative to eliminate
traditional barriers between business partners, erase the barriers that result in cost, time and add
little or no value to the consumer.
Logistics is an effective tool in several ways, which can produce competitiveness, such as achieving
an optimization in production, in the provision of goods and services for operating advantages. To
achieve full customer satisfaction, I mention that it is an important tool for any company or
business that drives business stay in the standards of both quality and price, you have to
continually face both local and global level
