If it is you first time in San Francisco there are a lot of attractions you can visit. I will explain the most popular place you can visit in just one weekend.

First of all in terms of accommodation, you’re best staying in an area called Civic Center, because there is closed to all attractions and shops and it isn’t so expensive.

On Saturday morning you could take a ferry to go to Alcatraz Island, the ferry’s departure are in Pier 33 at North Beach area, you’re best going by tram is only 6$ and you should be there in less than a half an hour, this tram doing a little stop at Lombard street so you can visit this street and don’t spent a lot time for going.

In Lunchtime you could go to Chinatown and lunch there for taste the traditional Chinese food   because this area is very famous for eating in San Francisco and you can see all the incredible buildings of this part of the town, then you could take a bus tour to visit other parts of the town, because it stop in different part of the city and you can visit monuments and famous areas located far away of city center. You can take again the bus for go to other area without cost.

In the evening you can should take a beer and dinner in one bar in Pier 33 and see the seals that are sunbathing in this place, they are hilarious,  there are a lot of shops in this area too and you can visit a two war world vessel and the Pampanito Submarine in Pier 45.

On Sunday you should go to Golden Gate Bridge, you’re better off renting a bike and riding across of it, if you do it, you will ride along the beach to arrive to Golden Gate Bridge and you can see a very stunning landscape, when you cross the bridge you will arrived to Sausalito where you must take a ferry to come back to San Francisco.

If you have more time I recommend you to go visit mission church in Mission area.
