El Buen Vivir

A major controversial issue in the political field is the good life, but what is this, the National Plan of Good Living is considered the technique and shape policy to be followed by the government to manage the country, the plan consists of twelve targets to be met by the current Ecuadorian government. The good life is an important planning to mark the goal of development within a group of people set. In Ecuador have already taken some steps, such as plans and projects to improve human lifestyle in Ecuador. The new idea of government is developing projects that improve, regulate and stabilize, continuous and firm quality of life. As we will see, the current government over the previous Plan of Good Living 2009 - 2013, improved some aspects of the current Plan, but these has not convinced of all citizens.

The Plan was prepared by the “Secretaria Nacional de Desarrollo y Planificacion” and presented by President Rafael Correa. Below I will discuss some of the twelve objectives that are important, some more than others:

Objective 2: Promote the equality, social cohesion and territorial integration and diversity. - By implementing various policies to strengthen multiculturalism and equality of rights between communities. Providing equity and equality of opportunity in the distribution of wealth. This can help as long as there are public entities that regulate these processes equal, so successfully carried these processes of development and social integration.

Objective 4. - Improve the capabilities and potential of citizenship. - The objective proposed mark policies that improve the quality of education; from the initial to the top, for example, implementing nutrition campaigns, encouraging sports and also building capacity in science and advancing to a total population development. Carrying out projects implementing programs for improved capabilities in our population development and good living would be a process a little faster.

Objective 9: Guarantee decent work in all its forms. - With some policies that define the job as an economic lifeline for the population, some points as the payment of minimum wages are defended. If carried out this objective should assign the value to the work of any kind; if this would benefit the population because it would reduce the percentage of need and poverty.

Objective 3: Improve the quality of life of population. - The main idea of this is the establishment of a quality policy in government health centers, improving infrastructure and technological equipment for better service to citizens. Campaigns for the prevention of diseases and thus improve the quality of life. Also improve the quality of housing through the Housing Ministry. Improving the quality of life not only depends on the improvement in some fields, such as health. This depends on the security in the form and style of life of the population, implementing projects in the most affected areas.
