EL ESPINO BEACH
INTRO
The main objective of this report is to give information about El Espino Beach. It´s a beautiful touristic place. It´s one of the natural beaches in El Salvador.
Situated on what is considered to be the finest beach in El Salvador, people have created a little oasis for themselves, friends and guests. Playa El Espino is certainly precious.
BACKGROUND
El Espino beach was discovered by Pedro de Alvarado in 1535. This is a salvadorean natural reserve. There are many wild animal in this zone (eagles, parakeets, snakes, turttles, iguanas) and many seawater species.
Playa El Espino is located on the Pacific Ocean about 2 hours from the Capital city, San Salvador. El Espino is a small fishing and resort village with a population of around 400 people. San Miguel (population 200,000) is 1 hour away. The city of Usulatan (population 70,000) is 30 minutes from El Espino.
ATTRACTIONS FOR THE GROUP
The water of the sea is clean and warm. People is friendly. Tourist can stay at many hotels and buy souvenirs in some small stores. People can, eat typical food in differents restaurants and informal restaurants , too. People can practice many water sports such as surf, sailing, fishing, scuba diving and others.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
To get to El Espino by car, follow Litoral Hwy East. It takes you right near El Transito City at the sign saying "El Espino" It´s open 24 hrs. a day. The main entrance is Litoral Hiway.
