Badminton
Badminton is a racket sport in which two players (singles) or two pairs (doubles) face each other located on opposite halves of a rectangular court divided by a net. Unlike other racquet sports in badminton is not played with a ball, but with a shuttlecock.[pic 1]
Players must hit the steering wheel with their rackets so that it crosses the court above the net and falls into the opponent's sector.
The point ends when the steering wheel touches the ground, after passing the net.
Badminton is, since the Olympic Games of Barcelona (1992), an Olympic sport in five modalities: men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles and mixed doubles. In the latter, the couple is composed of a man and a woman.
Procedure of our work:
Warm up:
Training and fitness activities in general are great ways to improve strength, endurance, and stamina. But, as with any physical activity, it's important to warm up first to avoid straining your muscles or tendons. Warming up can also help prevent injuries such as muscle strains or sprains.
Jumping jacks
Jumping jacks are a common warm-up exercise, and are great for warming up both the upper and lower body. They are also a good way to loosen joints, especially knees, as they involve a lot of push-ups and stretching.
Kicks with the buttocks
Kicks with the buttocks increase the heart rate and warm the lower body, especially the hamstrings and glutes. A warm lower body is important for completing any type of sports activity. It will help prevent strains or sprains, which are more common in the lower body.
Body squats
The body squat is a dynamic stretch for the hips, hamstrings and quadriceps. It is a great exercise to get the blood flowing and loosen the muscles of the lower body.
Arm swinging
Arm swinging is a dynamic stretch that helps warm up and activate the shoulders and upper back muscles.
Trunk turns
Trunk twists are a great warm-up exercise for the trunk, especially for the abs. They improve the range of motion of the spine and help prevent pain and injury in the lower back.

Games:
TOUCHES WITH THE RACKET
Material: a racket, a shuttlecock.
Execution: hit with the racket to the badminton volley above your waist. To increase the difficulty, alternate the obverse stroke with the backhand of the racket. Further complicate this game by walking while hitting. And for advanced level do it while running and even with two steering wheels at once.
Advantages: you will improve the striking technique, especially the touch of drive and backhand. Coordination when moving between upper and lower extremities and your spatial vision will also improve. If you run you will also improve your cardio.
Circle Game
The players are put forming a circle and pass the steering wheel with the racket to the partner next to him, up to five flyers are added, and players are eliminated until there are only five.
Types of serves in badminton;
- The low serve, also commonly known as a short serve, is a serve that barely skims over the top of the net and lands near the short service line. When done correctly, it does not give the opponent an opportunity to attack and limits the type of shots on the service return. A perfect short serve will immediately start dropping in a downwards flight path after it crosses the net, and continues to just land across the short service line, which forces opponents to lift the [pic 3]
shuttle if they wait too long before returning the serve.[pic 4]
