• There are many ways in which we can use belong.
• The meaning of belong depend on the situation you are using. But the translation to spanish is “pertenecer”.
THE USE OF BELONG
• Be property: it belongs to her
• Be member: we belong to the same club
• Be part: to belong to something
• Have a usual place: that jug belongs in the cupboard with the others
• In category: it belongs to the reptile family
• Be suitable: you belong to the Dark Ages!
• Socially: I still don't feel I belong here
