BUSINESS STRATEGY

Nowadays Mexico has more infrastructure talking about real state, because there are many builder companies around the country which are making houses, buildings, departments and all of those things. In this case will be focused just in one builder company that is called IVI Hogar, this company is located in Puebla, Mexico. The strategy will be in order to be competitive in the market place, see what the opportunity areas of the company are, and how they can reduce cost without affecting the final product which are the houses.[pic 3]

IVI Hogar is a leading company in the industry of building companies, but it is just for the state of Puebla, Mexico, this company is in charge of building houses and creating quality of life for the people which live in Puebla. This company is also committed with social responsibility. According to Forbes Mexico, the industry of building has had a growth of 4.4% in the past year, this will help to IVI Hogar to keep its leadership in the market at Puebla.

This company had some problems in the 2010, maybe this could be it opportunity area, because the company is using land that is not part of its property, so the people in charge must take in consideration the logistics implemented to measure the land where they are going to build the houses, because if they don’t respect the land of another property, they may have legal issues.

This is why logistics is important in this kind of business because if they do not have a good logistic manager, they will not be able to have success in what they are doing. If they don’t care about what they do, maybe some of its competitor will be more successful in the market.

Because the competitors will see the IVI Hogar is not doing the right things, and they will come to customers and will show that its work is better that the one performed by IVI Hogar, and people will prefer to buy the houses made by the competitors because they are doing the right things, and are not breaking the law by using property of another person or company.

As we already said, if IVI Hogar don’t do the right things, the competitor will gain its clients, for this the company should be compared in order to see how really strong they are in the industry if building, in this case two other companies will be used, which are MASA Construcciones and Grupo AISA, both are located in Puebla just like IVI Hogar is.

MASA Construcciones

This building company is focused on making building and houses with higher quality, because the people that will buy this constructions are people that have a good quality life, I mean people that care about the architecture of the place but also they can afford it. This company basically is focused on luxury, for this reason I don’t think that they are a direct competitor of IVI Hogar. But IVI Hogar should enter to the market of considering more details in their constructions talking about architecture, in this way they can be direct competitor, and maybe IVI Hogar will get some new clients that can afford these kind of building and houses.[pic 4]
