World Religions
Religions have four main subjects the main condition which is the way we behave, Salvation which is understanding to God, ethics which is the guideline of how we should act, and the nature of the world which is the question everybody asks them self’s “How was the world created?
The human condition is the way we behave, and a religion’s opinion towards the actions we human beings take, and the way the human being should act; a religion that can relate to this subject is Confucianism which regards the self as part of a network, so basically the social life of human relationships. Confucianism says that we are naturally good, but we commit evil actions only against in what we believe in. So basically saying that we were created to be good, but we take certain actions that go against our religion and believes. In my opinion I agree with what Confucianism is saying. We human beings do identify each other by the network(social life), for example if we hang out with a group of people that are smart, responsible, and respectful, we are identified as smart, responsible, and respectful. Instead if we hang out with the group that has a reputation of being lazy, and know as doing bad things, your identity changes, even if you are not that type of person, you are with them and you will be known like that. I also agree that we human beings were created, and are naturally good. Most of the people always mean good but without recognizing sometimes they do wrong. But when a person does a wrong thing and knows is wrong he is not only doing a wrong to someone but he is going against what his religion has thought the person. So human condition just shows us how and tells us how to be a human being.
Salvation is the human quest for understanding God and life. If salvation didn’t exist there will be barely a point to religion because salvation is the last step to be next to God. Mostly the point of religions is salvation because is basically found when you die. Many religions have their way of praying and becoming closer to God, but for Hinduism is by mediating, so by doing Yoga where the mind of the person is absorbed into reality. The Hindu religion believe that there is many live to live and many deaths to die, for the Hinduism salvation is called “Moksha”, which is when a human being dies and it is freed from the cycle of life and death, and comes into a state of completeness, he then becomes one with God. There are four ways to “Moksha”(salvation) for Hinduism. The first is the way of action which involves carrying our certain religious ceremonies and duties. Objective is to perform good deeds with having a personal gain. The next one is the way of knowledge which requires using your mind to come to a complete understanding of life. The next is the way of devotion which is by doing acts of worship based upon a love for God, for Hinduism there is many Gods. The last way to salvation
