A good day [pic 3]
It had been raining all day. They were all scared that it’d rain on the big day. They had been planning that marriage for almost nine months. She had finished everything the week before so they could rest for a while before the ceremony. It had been hectic. The date had arrived. Silk, flowers, makeup… Everything was in order but the weather wasn’t helping. [pic 4]
“I can’t believe it!” she said. “This can’t be happening. We will have been expecting this for a year now.”
“Calm down. I have been watching the weather channel; they say that it’ll stop raining soon.”
The two sisters and the bridesmaids were still on the way to the church. Some of them had been drinking a bit too much and they were getting out of control.
“Even if you have planned this wedding to the very last detail there will always be something that goes wrong. It’s the way life is.”
“You aren’t helping, Eleanor. I have been checking my agenda and if it wasn’t for this rain and my drunken maid of honor, it would have been perfect! I have designed everything! ”
“There’s nothing we can do. So just sit down and relax. Enjoy the ride; you will not have ridden a limousine for nothing. I have so much to brag to my friends’ now.” she laughed.
Suddenly the phone rang. [pic 5]
“I’m sure it’s Phillip! I can’t pick up when I’m such a wreck!”
“Please Angie; he has been waiting for a word from you since yesterday. Pick up, for Pete’s sake!”
Biting her lip, she had been reaching to the phone just for it to be snatched away by Cindy, her best friend, a little tipsy.
“Hello! Cindy here! Yes Phil, I will have emptied the whole bottle in just two sips. No, I haven’t seen the church yet. Oh wait, we’re here!” throwing the phone she jumped out of the car.
“Has this happened before?” Eleanor asked. “I think I just had a déjà vu.” [pic 6][pic 7]
“I will have finished this wedding in just a few hours and I will not have been waiting all this time for nothing!” screamed Angie, determined, while she ran towards the church.
“Wait for me!” yelled her sister trying to get to her. “You will have been sweating for three hours any second! We have to fix your makeup! Wait!
