Creationism
The set of beliefs inspired by religious doctrine under which the Earth and every living thing that exists today stems from an act of creation by one or more divine beings, is called Creationism. Whose act of creation was carried out in accordance with divine purpose.
By extension to this definition, the word "creationist" has been applied to any opinions or philosophical or religious doctrine to uphold an explanation of the origin of the world based on one or more acts of creation by a personal God, as do, for example, religions of the Book. Therefore, creationism and also called pseudo-religious movements, militate against the fact of evolution.

With regard to the opinion of the Catholic Church agrees with creationism could be called pro-type theistic evolution, because it does not interpret Genesis in a strictly literal, and sees no contradiction philosophical and religious doctrine of creation, which explains the origin of the universe from nothing, with the theory of biological evolution. In this regard, Benedict XVI also clarifies that the natural sciences in general and evolution in particular cannot explain everything.
