LINDA GUTIERREZ

Hi everybody:

My name is Linda Gutierrez. I am a student in 10th grade and I am going to tell you some things about me. I am 14 years old and I live in Bucaramanga with my parents and my brother. My father’s name is Nestor and he is a doctor. He works from Monday to Saturday in a big hospital. My mother’s name is Carmen and she is a teacher. She teaches English to primary school students. She is the one who helps me when I can’t do my homework.

My eldest brother’s name is Nelson. He is eighteen years old and he studies petroleum engineering. My brother and I do many things together. We always go to the shopping mall on Saturdays. We sometimes take our dog, Lucas, for a walk and play basketball in the park. We don’t spend time together on weekdays, because I am too busy with my studies.

I always get up at 5:00 a.m. and take a shower. After that, I brush my teeth, get dressed and make my bed. I have breakfast at 5:30 a.m. I sometimes eat eggs with ham and orange juice, but I never drink coffee because I don’t like it. I leave home at 5:40 a.m. and go to school on foot. I rarely go to school by car (only when I wake up late). I study from 6:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. After school, I go home and do my homework.

I love eating healthy food. My mom cooks really good dishes with spinach, carrots, tomatoes and onions. I don’t like capers and cucumbers. In my free time, I chat with my friends on msn and check Facebook. I also enjoy watching YouTube videos. I sometimes ride my bike and play table tennis with my neighbor, Sophie. Although she is younger than me, she always beats me.
