d) The different presentation details -physical validity (sound, graphics, video, animation, text, hypertext, etc).

e) The methodology used (at least the one you most immediately appreciate).

f) The cognitive potential (it is useful for developing other areas different from linguistic competence?).

g) The overall evaluation (how much you would advise the activity to any student?).

ACTIVITY: SPEAKING ENGLISH

a) Skill: With great ease, a reader can realize that this activity is focused on helping developing the speaking skill.

b) Amount of practice: this activity provides enough links to the student in order to improve this skill.

c) Audience: Intermediate and advanced level learners can take advantage of this activity because it presents different levels of difficulty. We wouldn’t recommend this for children because of the lack of interaction or playful items.

d) Presentation Details:

Graphics There’s no graphics.

Video There’s no video.

Animation There’s no animation.

Text The activity is based the most on texts which generally show how to use some expressions.

Hypertext This activity is presented as a list of hypertexts; and thus, each hypertext is supported with more of them.

e) Methodology: AUTONOMOUS LEARNING.

f) Cognitive Potential: It’s based on some texts which pretend to teach VOCABULARY and EXPRESSIONS with the main purpose of increasing the lexical grammatical amount of the learner.

g) Overall evaluation: We wouldn’t advise this activity because there’s no interaction, there’s no motivation or specific items that encourage the learner to develop the activity.

ACTIVITY: ENGLISH READING

a) Skill: As the title suggests, it’s focused on developing the reading skill as reading comprehension.

b) Amount of practice: Here, the learner doesn’t have enough practice because the activity doesn’t possess a feedback as comprehension questions.

c) Audience: We suppose this activity was designed to be done by upper-intermediate and advanced level learners because it presents a large article with some vocabulary.

d) Presentation Details:

Physical Validity

Sound There’s no sound in any activity.
