Title: Betsy Ross.

Author: Alexandra Wallner.

Characters: I think this book is aimed at people as teenager and adults. Since it is a bibliographical history.

This book is about a woman, her name was Elizabeth Griscom but her family called Betsy. She was first in making American flag designed by General Washington. She was born in Philadelphia in 1752. Her family were Quakers (a religious group that believed in living in a simple, peaceful way). She enjoyed sewed. Betsy's needlework the most beautiful in Philadelphia, and she won many prizes for it. She got married three times. At age seventy-five, Betsy finally retired. Her eye-sight was failing. She dead in 1836. In 1870 her grandson William made Betsy’s story public in an address to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania.

The problem in history was she married whit John Ross, he wasn’t a Quaker. Her parents disapproved of her marrying and meant her expulsion from the Quaker congregation.

The solution this problem was when she married the third husband his name was John Claypoole, he was Quaker. Which permitted marriage outside the faith. Betsy could worship in the church one again.

I liked this story since it leaves a teaching about bibliographical history this coutry for this reason I recommend this book.
