The setting of the story is the Civil war, Filed Hospital. The characters of the story are: Jack, Annie, Morgan, Soldiers, Nurses, Clara Barton, John.

The problem of the story is that Jack and Annie face a new set of adventures. They must collect some writings to save a kingdom called Camelot. To resolve this problem they travel back to the time to the American Civil War. During his adventure they found the letter and helped many wounded soldiers.

Beginning:

Annie found a book in the magic tree house it was called civil war on Sunday then Annie said I wish I could be there and jack said are you crazy Annie that’s war it’s to bloody then Annie said I just want to help the soldiers then Annie wish again to be there then the magic tree house start spinning then Annie look out the window and saw a injured solider and when jack looked out the window Annie was helping the solider.

About the Author:

Mary Pope was born in Oklahoma, she has a twin brother. Osborne was a published author for over 10 years before writing the first Magic Tree House entry. She was an acting teacher now she is the author of many highly acclaimed picture books. She wins the Author's Guild for the oldest writers in the United States.

Why I should read this book:

I recommend this book because the “Civil War on Sunday" is a sad book but it is sort of happy too. It is sad because many people died or got wounded during the war. It is happy because I learned about Clara Barton who helped so many people and founded the American Red Cross. I sort of like this book.
