Do energy drinks really give you energy?
Introduction:
Energy drinks are a $50 billion global industry, overflowing with different brands and exotic ingredients as sugar and Caffeine, but they really give you energy?
Objective:
Discover whether energy drinks really stimulates a person’s ability to have more energy.
Materials:
- Pen and paper for notes
- Cans of energy drinks (Adrenaline and Gatorade)
- Monitor to measure pressure
Procedure:
- Hand each of your test subjects one can of the first energy drink.
- Instruct them to drink it when they feel tired or sleepy.
- Then, put them to run at the same time and at the same speed.
- Next step is to measure the heartbeat of each one of the subjects.
- 3 Days later, give the same test subjects the second drinks and repeat the previous steps.
- Evaluate your results for each test subject and make a conclusion.

Hypothesis:
We may say that energy drinks really give energy, but by making this project we may see that, this is not truth because Person B drank more adrenaline than Person A and his heartbeats were more accelerate than person A this also happens with the Gatorade.
Data:
- Caffeine: An alkoid found naturally in tea and coffee plants which acts as a mild stimulant on the central nervous system.
- Ephedrine: A medication, whose activated ingredients used as sympathomimetic drug.
- Stimulant: a substance that acts to increase physiological or nervous activity in the body, that promotes interest and enthusiasm
Results:
If you use energy drinks they will activated your sympathetic nervous system by accelerating you heartbeats, your pressure, dilates the pupils, and constricts blood vessels.
Conclusion:
Energy Drinks doesn’t really have and affect or really work what happens is that they activated your sympathetic nervous system by the caffeine and sugar they contains and that’s what really make an effect so that why it increase your heartbeats and pressure, the other effect it has is the Placebo effect which explains that if you think something will really give and effect or that it will really work,it will .
