INTRODUCTION
Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater), very often by human activities.
Also this occurs when pollutants (particles, chemicals or substances that make water contaminated) are discharged directly or indirectly into water bodies without enough treatment to get rid of harmful compounds. Pollutants get into water mainly by human causes or human factors.
The problem that we found was the excessive amount of trash in the sea, therefore we ask ourselves the next question. : How can we ensure to clean up dams, rivers and lakes to protect the environment in the state of Nuevo León?
Our objective is to lower the level of pollution in the dams, rivers, lakes, and dams.in Nuevo León. We are trying to begin with this movement locally so protect the water bodies where we live.
In Nuevo León 40% of the water that we consume comes from the subsoil and the other 60% from lakes, rivers and dams, therefore is it important to keep it clean becasuse these are part of the water that we consume. When there is a toxic contamination on the lakes and rivers the nature takes 200 years to reach and equilibrium assuming there will be no more damage.
The area of the ocean is about 140 million square miles or nearly 71% of Earth, and it takes 500 - 1, 000 years for plastic to degrade. Approximately 1 million seabirds die from plastic
This also happens in our state, even if we don’t have any sea, we have many dams and rivers which are highly polluted due to unethical activities through history of the population which does not care about contamination. This occurs more in remote areas or rural areas where they don’t receive the support of elimination of trash. In Nuevo León 40% of the water that we consume comes from the subsoil, and the other 60% from lakes, rivers and dams, therefore it is important to keep it clean because this are part of the water that we consume. When there is a toxic contamination on the lakes and river the nature takes 200 years to reach an equilibrium assuming there will be no more damage.
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
What is water pollution and how does it affect us?
Water pollution happens when toxic substances enter water bodies such as lakes, rivers, oceans and so on, getting dissolved in them, lying suspended in the water or depositing on the bed. This degrades the quality of water.
Not only does this spell disaster for aquatic ecosystems, the pollutants also seep through and reach the groundwater, which might end up in our households as contaminated water we use in our daily activities, including drinking.
What are some types of water pollutants?
Pollutants can be of varying kinds: organic, inorganic, radioactive and so on. In fact, the list of possible water contaminants is just too vast to be listed here.
How much does we contaminate the water?

What can we do about it or what is our solution?
19-Year-Old Develops Ocean Cleanup Array That Could Remove 7,250,000 Tons Of Plastic From the World’s Oceans
[pic 2]
19-year-old Boyan Slat has unveiled plans to create an Ocean Cleanup Array that could remove 7,250,000 tons of plastic waste from the world’s oceans. The device consists of an anchored network of floating booms and processing platforms that could be dispatched to garbage patches around the world. Instead of moving through the ocean, the array would span the radius of a garbage patch, acting as a giant funnel. The angle of the booms would force plastic in the direction of the platforms, where it would be separated from plankton, filtered and stored for recycling.
