Evolution according to Darwin
Good morning, what today I am going to talk about is going to be about the theory of evolution by Charles Darwin and how it is reflected in human’s behavior as “Social Darwinism”.
There are many theories about the creation of the species and how did they came to be as we see them today. But the one that has been more proven and recognized in my opinion is definitely Darwin´s Theory. This theory gave birth to a new way of thinking; this theory showed liberalism and gave reference to many alternative creation theories. By alternative I want to say that are scientific and not theological.
Theory of evolution:
Darwin by his studies in zoological behavior has reached the conclusion that animals are continuously in a process of transmutation in other words in an evolution process. Animals can change or mutate in relation with what they eat, the climate, their depredators and other phenomena. This change is by how I call it “mutate or die”. By this phrase we can approach to another theme which is Natural selection. Natural selection is about how living creatures change even their shape to survive. Complete species have died just for not following this pattern.
An example of these theories is that a dog is living on the coast and he is very used to live in a warm climate and to have food whenever he wants and he has it everything without fighting for food. At the next morning he is taken by surprise to the north. He is converted in a sled dog and he by first time sees the snow. He starts to suffer of hunger by the first days, he joins fights often and he is in a competition for the power. This dog because of his desire of living starts to convert himself into a wild animal I could say that similar to a wolf, he started fishing and hunting he hunted and find his own food.
This is an example of Darwin´s theory of evolution and this started millions and millions of years ago, started from microscopic creatures as prokaryotes that were unicellular and aquatic. These cells in my opinion evolved into multicellular creatures because it was impossible for them working alone. I took this conclusion from the Symbiotic theory by Lynn Margulis.
All these scientific theories believe it or not are reflected in our actual world in human behavior presented as Social Darwinism.
Social Darwinism is the way in which people change their behavior or habits depending on the environment they are living or in the one they have been raised. Also people has shown to change their lifestyles just by looking at a tv show, or as in kids just because of being part of a popular group.
In society people has shown that they are similar to animals and that they also in some way evolve and that we are part of the Natural selection process. By some way humans have demonstrate that they are very susceptible to changes even if you change of religion you may have some changes
