Book Report: - The transfer

In this book report I am going to talk about The transfer, a chapter of Four writed by Veronica Roth. This book is different from others, because the book is composed by some short stories from the Divergent saga narrated by Four. The gender of the book is action and I chose to read this book because I liked a lot Divergent saga, so this is related a lot with the saga. It is about a society that is separate in factions: Candor, Dauntless, Erudite, Amity and Abnegation.

This story happened before Divergent, it is the beginning of Tobias Eaton who became Four. It narrates the Tobias’ life being on Abnegation. His father hit him saying that it was for his own good, and it was a lie. Tobias was always in his house, because he was not allowed to go out, he missed so much his mom. The moment of choosing the faction that he is going to be the rest of his life was close. The father wanted that his son stayed in Abnegation, but Tobias was tired of him, he wanted to escape.

So, in the day that he needed to choose, he chose Dauntless, because he did not identify with the other factions. He needed to pass a few tests to be a Dauntless. First was to climb a train moving and then jump off it, also in movement. After to enter to the place he had to jump, when he had already passed the tests, an instructor made him a simulation to know how many fears he had. and from it he was named Four, because he had only four fears.

I like it very much because it explained me a lot of details that in the original saga, for example, it explains how he transfer to another faction, which feelings he had during all these moments, when he was hit by his father and he transferred to another faction. I recommend it a lot, but I suggest to read the Divergent saga first.
