The Five People You Meet in Heaven is a book written by Mitch Albom who is a man that was born in New Jersey and lived at New York inspires us in many ways, the way he writes and his way of expressing his self while he does it. This book had a profound effect on me and made me think in many things I had never thought about before.

This book talks us about a man named Eddie who for almost his whole life was the

maintenance man at an amusement park called Ruby Pier. The story starts with the end of Eddie's life on Earth and the beginning of his journey through heaven. What is impacting is the lessons Eddie learns throughout his journey in heaven meeting five people in heaven. Throughout the book we get to know people from his past, some of them he knew and se others were just a short piece in his life that he in heaven finds out how important were they. They all had something that they had to teach Eddie about life and each of them had a different lesson that Eddie needs to understand before he can move on in heaven.

The first person that Eddie meets was the “blue man” who was a member of the freak show his name was Joseph Corvelzchchik, out of all the people Eddie meets in my opinion Joseph had the most provoking quotes. The blue man died when Eddie was a young little boy. This happened when Eddie was playing catch with his friends and had run into the road in front of Josephs car. Joseph didn’t hit Eddie, he avoided it but at the same time because of avoiding it he had a heart attack and died from de anxiety and stress given in that moment. When Eddie hears this he feels awful and asks himself why he didn’t die instead of the blue man. The blue man immediately states that everything happens for a reason and that it was okay that he had died. The blue man says, "There are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind". This was the first lesson for Eddie, the blue man makes him know that everything happens for a reason and that no life is a waste. "No life is a waste, the only time we waste is the time we spend thinking that we are alone."

The second person that Eddie meets is his Sargent from the war. He tells Eddie about how he died and how that helped the rest of the company to survive. The Sargent told Eddie that it had been him who had shot Eddie in the leg, in order to save his life. Eddie was convinced that he had saw someone in the burning bulding and he was going to see who was it but the Sargent shot him because if he did it then Eddie wouldn’t go. The lesson that the Sargent had to teach Eddie was about sacrifice. The Sargent stating "Sometimes when you sacrifice something precious you're not really losing it, you're just passing it on to someone else." In other words, the Sargent sacrificed Eddie's leg to save his life, and also sacrificed
