ACTIVIDAD DE ADQUISICIÓN DEL CONOCIMIENTO

In this activity you will list five common instructions that people have to follow in a specific place.

  1. Work in teams of four. Think of a place where people have to follow, instructions or indications, for example the school, movies, library, hospital, restaurant, airport, home, etc.
  2. In your notebook, write down eight instructions or indications that people have to follow in the place

  1. Show your written instructions to your teacher and make the necessary corrections.
  2. Make eight cards using cardboard, write the eight instructions on them and add some images to represent each one of them.
  3. Read aloud and show your cards (with the instructions and images) to the group and ask your classmates to guess the place where people have to follow these instructions.

  5. The park is behind the theater

  1. Work in pairs. Decide who is student A and B.  Now, read the following situation.

You and your friends organized a party. The party is at Student B’s house. Student A does not know how to get the party from the school. So, Student A ask to student B how to get to his/ her house.

  1. Make a dialogue in which you give the right directions to get to the party. Write it down in your notebook.
  1. Ask your teacher to check your dialogue and make any necessary corrections.
  2. Read the dialogue in front of the group.

A Tragedy Or a Blessing?

Years ago in Scotland, the Clark family had a dream. Clark and his wife worked and saved, making plans for their nine children and them to travel to the United States. It had taken years, but they had finally saved enough money and had gotten passports and reservations for the whole family on a new liner to the United States.

The entire family was filled with anticipation and excitement about their new life. However, seven days before their departure, the youngest son was bitten by a dog. The doctor sewed up the boy but hung a yellow sheet on the Clark’s front door. Because of the possibility of rabies, they were being quarantined for fourteen days.
