  1. Using the interaction model of consumer experience interaction model seen in class, what are the key elements for (a) success, (b) a failure of the new telephone?

There is not much information about Blackberry KEY2, since its release will be in the next few days, so we do not know what will be the big differences with respect to its predecessor.

But big rumors exist of the possible characteristics that this device will have. But with the information confirmed by the company and the rumors it is possible to analyze the following thing:

The key elements for success:

Among the aspects that can help this model to revive the company, it is the technology that the telephone has, this model allows to improve the experience of the consumers, by offering an efficient and long-lasting battery. Allowing the user to use their phone, for long periods of time.

The Blackberry KEY2 also has a physical intelligent keyboard that responds to tactile gestures, his keyboard is ideal for all the people who wants to return to the experience of the old phone models, this keyboard allows the consumer to experience the best of both worlds, physical and tactile keyboard. Though the keyboard occupies a great portion of the size of the telephone, it still allows you to interact like any other touch-only (screen) phone.

Compared to its competition, Blackberry is characterized, for its safety, the DTEK system, analyzes the use of the applications whenever a list is passed. includes a certain level of customization for the system, security alerts are one of its exclusivities. The smartphone will not be a massive upgrade over its predecessor.

The Blackberry KEY2 is a smartphone focused on modern executives, who are looking for levels of performance above the established. Also the design of this device may be attractive to people who are fond of classic phone models, but who still like a touch of modernity.

Another point of advantage is that maybe Blackberry took into account, were the complaints of the market, when many consumers learn that Apple eliminated the headphone jack, the costumers were upset, but this will not be a problem with the Blackberry KEY2 because it has a built-in headphone jack.

The company has managed to improve the technology of use in their phones, always taking into account the business model and the experiences of their consumers, which allows the company to offer an attractive product for its customers, with technology that helps to simplify or facilitate processes, in addition to the technology used and the design of the model is feasible with the business model of blackberry, allowing it to be a viable product for the company.

The key elements for failure:

Even though the smart physical keyboard can be one of its advantages,  but it can also lead to the telephone failure in the market, because most modern customers are accustomed to a 100% touch phone, many people have the perception that a phone with a built-in keyboard, It's a thing of the past.

The costumers can even come to believe that it is impractical to have a built-in keyboard, because it performs the same functions as a virtual keyboard. As a result of the keyboard, also the screen of the device is reduced, which can affect the experience of the client, since they will have to adapt to sizes of letters smaller than the average between other problems.

Another aspect of failure is that the company is not able to communicate with its customers, although the company does have social networks, there is little interaction with the public, they do not update their facebook page and instagram constantly, on Twitter instead of communicating the devices the company sell and their characteristics, the account is focusing their publications on conferences. Consumers complain about the company's lack of interest in answering their questions or problems.
