Introduction

We are going to talk about cause and effect in reading comprehension and the meanings of that words, characterizes, examples and some famous phrases.

This topic is so important to development and learns the correct techniques of the reading in different types of texts.

We are going to explain the topic, with some games to motive the knowledge of our partners and in that way learn the real meaning of that things.

We are happy with this topic because have a lot of important things to speak around the presentation.

Cause and Effect.

The cause and effect are when the reader analyzes the reasons for/ or/ and the consequences of an action, event or decision.

Around our world day by day happens a lot of events and all have a cause or reaction in our lives.

For example God created us with love in seven days of the dust and the effect is the human, the animals, the world and other types of thing that maybe we don’t know if it is exist.

• Cause

The cause in reading comprehension is when a thing or a person makes something happens in the story and produce and effect in something or someone.

In this subject is when you read about something, for example a story, a poem, an article or report and you search and understand better the cause of something in special with different process like questions, it is easy to recognize it.

For reading comprehension this is so important in all the types of readings, because is the way in what the reader find motivation to follow the text trying to guess what do that problem. If you read and understand this easily you can apply in the real life the reading. Maybe you know and learn how act in different circumstances.

The way is find what type of text of reading is better for you and with is more comfortable maybe if bring draws, colors, big capitals something like that.

 Key words of cause

We have a list of words to identify when something happens and is when we have a cause.

 Causal Chain

The event that begins a causal chain known as the initial cause is followed by an effect that becomes the cause of another effect.

This process is repeated until the final effect the effect that ends the chain is reached.

 Recognize cause

They are some question of we can ask in the reading to distinguish the cause of the effect.

The question are important to clear the meaning what produce the event , you can analyze with attention and answer correctly like in Spanish grammar with the direct object because you ask; who eat the cereal for example and you get the subject.

The cause is the object, the sentiment, the natural phenomenon what cause something in the environment

 Examples of cause

1- Joe became really tired.

2- A blizzard in the city.

3- Sally studied hard to the test.

4- The girls teased the car.

5- Juan eats a lot.

6- Maria wakes up late.

• Effect

The effect is the result of the cause, is the event what happen in relation with that. The effect is the interesting part that will intrigue readers into wanting to read the rest of the article. What happen with the reader and the effect in the person and in the reading about something.

The effect in the reading is when you are reading and you know the cause of the problem but you feel something in special or when the cause have a reaction in your mind, in your action, in your heart and you decide change your way to be and use the reading to increase the values.

In some stories you read a paragraph and have a cause in effect and you can recognize so easily but if is about all the story you have to be careful and pay a lot attention to caught out the main cause and effect.

 Key words of effect.

We have so words what help to identify when the effect appears in the sentence or in the reading they are common in this word.

These words can appear in the middle of the sentence with connectors or after the cause.

The people has to find the effect with some question when read and in that way is easy know in what part of the story or the reading is it. For example:

What happen?

What was the problem?

What was the reaction of something for example the rain or the drugs.

 Types of effect

 Immediate effect:

That is a direct effect in something or someone.

 Long range effect:

Event happens over a long period f time.

 Examples of effects

1- The school was closed.

2- She is annoyed.

3- She was farewell.

4- Luis lost the courses.

5- Susana passed the test.

6- The houses had damages.

 How find the cause and effect?

1- Use the clue words therefore, as a result, hence, because and since for example.

2- Use the questions and thinking in the main action of the reading. And in the effect how the reader result or which was the reaction.

3- Take notes and take out the main idea in the text.

4- You can make predictions and inferences about the story.

5- Make graphic organizers.

 Others key words (casual verbs)

You can also discover cause and effect relationships by paying careful attention to the verbs the writer uses. Certain verbs are causative verbs that express cause and effect relationships
