How can I develop the competences within the classroom in teaching-learning a foreign language?

First of all we have to focus in the fact of the teacher training, from my point of view and based on what Professor Jose Manuel Vez said. With the technological boom, we as a teachers must go on with that an apply it in our process of learning, because technology nowadays is too useful for knowing new vocabulary, new processes of teaching, find information about a topic and many other things.

Now continue with what Mr. Schwab said that the process of teaching just begin when the teacher is teaching “something” to someone in any place and time.

I can understand for this that we as a teacher are the base of everything in the process of learning a foreign language, because we are the source of knowledge and our students are going to rely their learning way on us, and if we teach bad obviously they will get a wrong information.

Also every teacher has to see what kind of social and instrumental contents it will take to make a good citizen, moving this into the process of learning a new language, we must stay conscious and make the student see that it is not for learning and speak the language, instead it is get into the culture, the people, the country, and its history.

For last but not least a good teacher is someone who recovers concepts, principles and abilities that makes a good practice.

Now let’s move to the student, agree with the growing multiculturalism, there are so many diversity that you can find in a classroom a lot of cultures and that makes the learning process for both parts richer.

When we are teaching a language we have to focus on the student comprehension because not everybody goes at the same time, and it gets more difficult if we are teaching to someone that does not speak our language, because being real, someone who speaks any romance language can find a similarity between the two languages.
