Step 1: Reading comprehension exercise.
The main idea of the text is to describe the requirements for obtaining a driver's license in the United States, including the age requirement, medical examination, written and driving test.
The purpose is to ensure that the applicants have the knowledge and skills necessary to operate a vehicle on the road. They must know about traffic laws, road signs, basic mechanics, and first aid, and must have the ability to apply that knowledge in practice.
It is possible that some of the requirements for obtaining a driver's license in the United States could be applied in Colombia, such as the driving tests. However, Colombia has differences in infrastructure, road safety, and cultural attitudes towards driving, so first that things must change to apply the same requirementes of the United States
The text does not mention the requirements for obtaining a residence permit in the United States. However, some obligations that people must do to obtain a driver's license in the United States include attending a driver's educational program, passing a medical examination and an eye test and passing a written test, passing a driving test |
