Puma es una empresa alemana fabricante de ropa y calzado deportivo cuya sede central está en Herzogenaurach, Alemania

La compañía fue fundada en 1948 bajo el nombre de GebrüderDasslerSchuhfabrik por Rudolf "Rudi" Dassler, el hermano de Adolf "Adi" Dassler, que fundó su competidor, Adidas. Actualmente, la compañía opera bajo una estructura virtual que le permite manejar todas las divisiones alrededor del mundo.

El logo fue creado en 1968, inspirado en el puma, felino salvaje que se caracteriza por su velocidad, fuerza y agilidad. En un principio el logo tenía ojos y nariz, que fueron eliminados en 1979.El logotipo de PUMA es uno de los más conocidos en cuanto a marcas deportivas se refiere. La marca alemana, utilizó el significado de la palabra puma en español para incluir un imagotipo figurativo en su logo.
