El estudio de un segundo idiomas es un proceso consciente de recolección de conocimientos ya que este no se encuentra en situaciones comunes, si no se establecen horarios para su estudio y comprensión. There are many different ways to communicate with the public in order to advise, persuade, or to give out important information that allows the public to be aware of one’s point of view. Forms of communication can influence people to feel a certain way, and many times by using the method of pathos, ethos, and logos. The information can be given in many different forms like newspapers, magazine articles, blogs, TV commercials, and ect. Comparing two forms of communication could give a better understanding on how each has similar and different ways of giving information to the public. Child abuse can be demonstrated as something serious in both newspaper articles, and TV commercials in their own different but similar ways.
A newspaper article used as an example has the headline “South Carolina: Newborn Abandoned in Restroom.” Newspapers has a very simple organization, it contains a heading, date, author and story. The articles get a person’s attention in by summarizing the story up into one eye catching heading. In this example one might be interested in reading the article simply because perhaps “South Carolina” holds a special interest to a person. It could be where a person lives, where a loved one lives, or maybe where one works. The second is the story summarized into one sentence...”Newborn Abandoned in restroom”. With this sentence pathos is clearly used, because it catches our emotional attention. It’s only in a person’s human nature to think twice when a innocent child is brought up on topic. It especially makes one look when the situation is unnatural and cruel. Another possible way this article could have caught someone’s attention is simply by the author. The author could be someone either very talented or influential; demonstrating the work of ethos. The contents of the story could also involve
someone influential. The story itself is how most of the information is given out. At times it is only a story, with a solution already installed. But other times there is no solution, and the story itself is in search for a solution from the public. Most times there is reasoning of the topic within the story. It could be demonstrated as statistics or quotes, bringing in the use of logos. The example of the newspaper article targets just about anybody. Who could not be tempted to read an article with the words “Newborn Abandoned in Restroom”. The way this happens is first many questions start rising like these. Did the baby survive? Who could do such a thing? Or simply, what happened? Obviously the author was upset with the matters of the situation, and he felt the need to set this story in public.
