Dedication

I dedicate this research project to God and my family. To God because he has been with me every step of the way, taking care of me and giving me strength to continue, to my family, who throughout my life have watched over my wellbeing being my support at all times. Depositing their entire confidence in every challenge that was presented to me without hesitating a single moment in my intelligence and ability. That is why I am what I am now. The masters with my life.

Thanks

This project is the result of an investigation made by me.

I thank my English teacher, who left me as work, and in turn has put me to the test my skills and knowledge in the development of this work.

To my family who support me at all times and especially my daughters who are my motivation in my academic training.

Finally, an eternal gratitude to this prestigious university which opened its doors, preparing us for a competitive future and training us as good people.

  1. HISTORICAL REVIEW

Lima capital city of Peru, and capital of the region of the same name. It is currently a modern metropolis, with nearly 8 million inhabitants, being one of the main cities of South America, and is the largest city in the country and, is equipped with all the advances of modern life, has appropriate infrastructure tourist, ideal to carry out events (congresses, conventions, meetings, among others) of an international nature.

The city has central areas, districts with modern infrastructure, with important hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, and night spots. Thus, Lima has districts that deserve to be visited, among which we have Miraflores, San Isidro and Barranco, where you will find from beautiful and pleasant parks and squares, to modern shopping and residential centers, pubs and discos full of fun. On the beaches of these districts are practiced the surfboard, hang gliding and paragliding.

In its periphery and even in its urban area are the main architectural monuments, from pre-Columbian sites such as the citadel of Pachacamac (seat of an oracle and center of religious pilgrimage of different periods), to houses and temples and colonial churches such as the cathedral, the Torre Tagle palace; today headquarters of the chancellery. Among other sites of importance for tourism you can find colonial style palaces that preserve their beauty and magnificence, such as the Plaza de Acho, the mall of the barefoot, the house of the inquisition, the fortress of the Real Felipe, the Museum of the Nation, the Museum of Archeology and Anthropology Larco Herrera, the Government Palace and the Park of the Legends.

It was founded on January 18, 1 535, by the Spanish conqueror Dn. Francisco Pizarro and was called "City of the Kings", being then the seat of the governorship of New Castile, of which Pizarro was governor. For its colonial architecture, in 1 991, UNESCO declared it as "Cultural Patrimony of Humanity".

  1. BASIC DATA

Main Resources: Cotton, corn, sugarcane, fruit trees.

Its capital: Lima, is the first industrial center of the country.

Currently, Lima, like any metropolis in the world, offers tourists a variety of attractions and the amenities that the traveler seeks. Its 500 years of life have left important vestiges of its rich history. Suffice it to say that Lima, from its origin and its uncontrolled centralism, monopolizes the tourist's greatest attention. Beautiful Spas, varied cuisine, diverse shows: everything the visitor yearns for and seeks.

The City of Lima has numerous centers of attraction: museums such as the Magdalena Museum, the Gold Museum, site museums in Pachacamac and Puruchuco; churches and colonial houses such as San Francisco, La Merced and the Torre Tagle Palace; archaeological ruins such as Pachacamac, Cajamarquilla, El Paraíso and Chilca; scenic landscapes such as the Infiernillo Canyon, the Chillón Canyon and the Cañete River Canyon; thermo-medicinal waters like those of Churín and numerous beaches within Metropolitan Lima.

  1. GEOGRAPHY

The geography of the department of Lima is interesting and is characterized by being the most Andean of those of the coast, since the Andes arrive until the shore of the sea, in great altitudes. The Cerro de Pasamayo reaches almost 1,000 meters of altitude, almost vertically over the Pacific Ocean. The Andes rise gigantic at less than 20 or 30 km. of the sea and its valleys in the form of inclined triangular planes, with the cusp embedded in the Andes, barely extend up to 40 km in very few places.

Lima has several torrential rivers, including Huaura, Pativilca, Chillón, Cañete and Rímac, the latter with a 160 km course, formed by the union of Santa Eulalia near Chosica.

This department is one of those that count on its coast with an appreciable number of islands, islets and reefs. The Island of San Lorenzo is the largest and most extensive of the Pacific Islands of Peru. Numerous islands, such as those of Pachacamac, Asia and El Frontón, are also important deposits of guano.
