HACIENDO REFERENCIA A LO QUE TU COMPAÑERO DICE

• As far as I am concerned… (por lo que a mi respecta). Esta es una buena frase para concluir una intervención tanto en tu entrevista personal como hablando con tu compañero. Imagina que estás en la parte del examen en la que tenéis que comnetar de forma conjunta varias imágenes y él/ella hace referencia a una diciendo que está muy a favor de esa actividad. Tú podrías usar tu turno diciendo: As far as I am concerned I don’t see the point of using this kind of activities, but there are some people who really enojoy it. What I think it’s more interesting is… Habrías hecho referencia a lo que acaba de decir tu compañero, habrías usado una frase conectora y habrías argumentado tu opinión. Tendrías un 10 en esa intervención.
• Bearing in mind what you have just said… (teniendo en mente lo que has dicho…). Esta es otra frase que dejará boquiabierto a los examinadores del Speaking. Es muy sencilla ya que sólo tienes que decirla y a penas argumentar nada más como la anterior. Se suele utilizar cuando quieres hacer referencia a algo que ha dicho tu compañero pero vas a pasar a hablar de otro imagen que guarde cierta relación con la anterior. Imagina que tu compañero ha hablado sobre una imagen que no considera importante para viajar al extranjero (imagina que ese es el tema). Tú podrías decir esa frase y pasar a hablar de otra que tampoco creas que guarda especial relación con viajar al extranjero: Bearing in mind what you have just said I would like to talk about this one because I don’t think it’s very useful to travel around the world.
• I really like what you have just said because… (me gusta realmente lo que acabas de decir). Con esta frase también haces referencia a lo que dice tu colega de examen pero se usa principalmente para expresar tu conformidad con lo que acaba de decir. Eso no significa que no puedas añadir nada más, sino que es justo lo que deberías hacer añadiendo otro aspecto que él no haya dicho. Por ejemplo: I really like what you have said because when I travel, this is one of the most important things I do in a new place. La frase es sencilla de aprender, lo más complicado es saber llenarla de contenido.
• If you don’t mind me saying… (con perdón). Sirve para hacer referencia a algo que tu compañero acaba de decir pero por lo general suele expresar desacuerdo.
• How thoughtless/careless of me… (qué inconsciente/descuido por mi parte). Puedes utilizarla cuando tu compañero haya dicho algo bastante interesante en el examen oral, y de esta forma puedes sumarte parte de sus puntos. Eso sí, añade algo a lo que él haya dicho para que realmente te merezcas subirte al carro de los puntos extras.
