Introduction.

This book tries to let us visualize thru the fiction, how people has two personalities, the good one and the bad one, and how people try to eliminate their bad side.

We all have two people in one, in us, so we sometimes do good actions and sometimes do bad actions, but we try to do less bad actions and we want to increase our good side.

This is very common in our lives, like how says the ying and yang, everyone has a good and a bad side.

Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson (Edinburgh, Scotland, November 13, 1850 - Vailima, near Apia, Samoa, December 3, 1894) was a novelist, poet and essayist Scottish. Stevenson, who suffered from tuberculosis, came to meet only 44 years, but his legacy is a vast work that includes travel stories, and historical adventure novels and poetry and essays.

The Victorian Era is agreed to have stretched over the reign of Queen Victoria (1837 - 1901). It was a very exciting period with many artistic styles, literary schools as well as political and social movements. The era is popularly associated with the values of social and sexual restraint.

The Victorian era was a time of unprecedented demographic increase in England. The population rose from 13.897 million in 1831 to 32.528 million in 1901. Two major factors affecting population growth are fertility rates and mortality rates. England was the first country to undergo the Demographic transition and the Agricultural and Industrial Revolutions.

Gothic Revival architecture became increasingly significant during the period, leading to the Battle of the Styles between Gothic and Classical ideals. Popular forms of entertainment varied by social class, music, drama, opera, theatre and the arts were widely attended.

Victorian morality can be described as a set of values that supported sexual repression, low tolerance of crime, and a strong social ethic. Due to the enormous impact and importance of the British Empire, many of these values were spread across the

Doctor Jekyll is a civilized, educated, and a kind man, that thinks everyone has a bad and a good side. In his case, the good one is the doctor who is civilized, and tries to be better all the time. For the other side, the bad side is animalistic and not kind side that everyone tries to eliminate.

Dr Jekyll makes a poison that incredible separates the good between the bad sides, in dr Jekyll’s case, his bad side is Mr. Hyde, so dr Jekyll become two people, but the thing is Mr. Hyde is trying to eliminate the good side of Jekyll.

There is a lawyer, Mr. utterson, is trying to figure out what is doing or what is happening with dr Jekyll, he is playing a detective character and dr Jekyll starts to noticed Mr. Hyde is killing more and more people.

Mr. Utterson: a prominent and outstanding lawyer in London city, he plays a very curious character, he wants to know what is doing Jekyll.

Mr. Enfield: is a distant cousin of Mr. Utterson, they usually take a walk for talking; he is very similar to utterson.
